Avera Marshall Auxiliary
announces
scholarships
The Avera Marshall Auxiliary announces five $1,000 scholarships for students planning to pursue a career in the healthcare field.
The application can be found in your school counselor’s office and on your school website. Applications must be submitted to Coleen Frye on or before May 1. Scholarships will be awarded on Wednesday, June 10.
Marshall students earn recognition
at state BPA
conference
Forty-two students from Marshall participated in the annual Minnesota Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference in Minneapolis March 5-7.
During the school year, over 1,700 Minnesota BPA student members take part in the organization’s competitive events program, allowing them to compete in nearly 60 events focused in the areas of finance, business administration, management information systems, digital communication and design, and management, marketing and communication. The competitions are designed to prepare students to succeed and assesses real-world business skills and problem solving abilities. After qualifying earlier this year, regional winners put their talents to the test during the State Leadership Conference.

• Eden Knudson – Economic Research Project – Team – 2nd
• Keziah Knudson – Economic Research Project – Team – 2nd
• Chiemeka Nwakama – Digital Media Production – 2nd
• Adrienne Simpson – Economic Research Project – Individual – 2nd
• Adrienne Simpson – Economic Research Project – Team – 2nd
This May, Savannah Boedigheimer, Adrienne Simpson, Grant Hoff, Chiemeka Nwakama, Dimitri Gergen, Dawson Kellen, Davia Kellen, Josie Holland, Natalie Johnson, Eden Knudson and Keziah Knudson will travel to Washington, DC to compete with 5,500 top students from across the United States at the 53rd annual National Leadership Conference.
