HUDSON – The Southwest Minnesota State women’s golf team carded a score of 43-over-par 327 on Monday and is currently in sixth place after round one of the 13-team Maverick Fall Brawl hosted by Minnesota State University at the par-71 Troy Burne Golf Club. SMSU trails fourth place, Minnesota State and Pittsburg State (Kan.), by two shots while sitting four strokes behind third place Concordia-St. Paul. SMSU volleyball ranked No. 14 in recent AVCA poll

MARSHALL - The Southwest Minnesota State volleyball team (7-2, 1-1 NSIC) dropped two spots to No. 14 in the recent AVCA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll, released Monday afternoon. SMSU split the first two NSIC matches of 2026 over the weekend. On Friday, the Mustangs suffered a four-set defeat to No. 5 ranked Concordia-St. Paul, before defeating Winona State on Saturday in four sets. Mustang volleyball hosting first matches at home; Gameday Round Up on Saturday at noon

MARSHALL – The Southwest Minnesota State University volleyball team will host its first matches of the season this weekend inside the PE Gym for 'Alumni Weekend'. The Mustangs first host St. Cloud State on Friday at 6 p.m., before facing Minnesota State on Saturday at 2 p.m. On Saturday, SMSU Athletics and the SMSU volleyball program will be hosting a 'Gameday Round Up' at the PE/BA newly paved parking lot beginning at 12 p.m. Tailgating and parking in the lot opens at 11 a.m. and will be a first-come, first-serve basis with no reserved spots. COTTONWOOD — Playing host to a volleyball tournament over the weekend, Lakeview volleyball finished with a 1-3 record and seventh-place finish. The Lakers faced a challenging slate of opponents throughout the tournament, dropping close matches to Adrian-Ellsworth and Windom before falling to New London-Spicer. WINONA, Minn. - The No. 12 ranked Southwest Minnesota State University volleyball team (7-2, 1-1 NSIC) recorded its first conference victory of 2026 over Winona State (2-6, 1-1 NSIC) on Saturday afternoon at McCown Gymnasium, winning by set scores of 25-12, 25-19, 19-25 and 25-14.
