TEL vs. CBL All-Star Game set for Saturday

ST. JAMES — The Tomahawk East League vs. Corn Belt League All-Star Game is scheduled to take place at 5 p.m. Saturday in St. James at Veterans Field.

New this year will be a pre-game Home Run Derby featuring participants from teams in both leagues.

This is the ninth meeting between the two leagues since the series began in 2016. The TEL is 7-1 in the series and has won six games in a row against the CBL, but all six have been one-run games and four of them required extra innings to decide the winner.

This year’s TEL roster will be managed by the New Ulm Brewers’ Al Flor and Courtland Cubs’ John Giefer.

Fairfax

Luke Bastian, Gibbon’s Devon Schwarzrock, Hanska’s Brock Wellmann and Chris Knowles

Adam Sellner and Zach Haala.

Mielke and Haala led the TEL in most ASG appearances, with their fifth ASG appearance coming this Saturday.

The Corn Belt League will be managed by Bird Island Bullfrogs managers Mike Nagel and Jeremy Mortensen.
