‘Bewildered’ by letter

To the editor:

After reading Mr. Roger Bauman’s letter in last Tuesday’s paper, I was bewildered. Bewildered, because he referred to President Biden’s State of Union address as a “pack of lies.” I don’t think Mr. Bauman saw and heard the same speech as I did. Full of lies? I heard a list of accomplishments, including the popular bi-partisan infrastructure bill, a growing economy with 15 million new jobs created, climate legislation, and lowered drug prices. I did not see and hear a “worn out shell . . . , “ but rather, I saw a vital, feisty, articulate President, embracing democracy and setting goals that would benefit the American people.

I was also bewildered by Mr. Bauman’s statement that the Biden administration was corrupt. Certainly, he must have been confused by another politician who has 91 felony indictments.
