Take action to prevent spread

To the editor:

I am writing regarding my concerns about the corona-19 virus in Marshall.

1. I noticed in shopping how few people wear masks

2. Some stores have discontinued wiping down shopping carts

3. Often there are no wipes left to wipe down your own cart

4. Numbers keep climbing in our area — most days by double digits

5. Since that is the case, why is nothing being done to help prevent the spread?

My thoughts is stores should continue to sanitize carts, chairs, booths in eating places, cars serviced, etc. The mayor and businesses managers should make sure this is happening.

I’m at risk because of health issues. I am a caregiver for my husband who would have to be placed if I were to get sick. He is at risk for his own health issues as well.

Does Marshall really care?
