Ivanhoe to hold 55th annual Polska Kielbasa Days

Nancy Jerzak was born and raised in Ivanhoe and been attending Polska Kielbasa Days for as long as she can remember. But now, as president of the Ivanhoe community club, she's in charge of running it. “I always remember going to the tractor pull,” Jerzak said. “Watching the softball tournaments, always eating all the food. It's always been great.” Ivanhoe will host its 55th Polska Kielbasa Days event this weekend. Two injured in crash near Amiret

AMIRET — Two people were injured when a utility vehicle and a minivan collided at an intersection east of Amiret, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said. The Sheriff’s Office said a 30-year-old Tracy man was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign. The man was also one of the people injured. Four children who were passengers in the minivan were not injured in the crash, the Sheriff’s Office said. MARSHALL — The city of Tracy and Southwest Health and Human Services are asking for the Minnesota Attorney General’s help in determining the future of a manufactured home park in Tracy. During Tuesday’s Lyon County Board meeting, commissioners voted to sign a letter seeking assistance in taking enforcement actions against the Cedar Lane Manufactured Home Park in Tracy. The letter to the Attorney General said Cedar Lane has been operating without a valid license since Nov. 24.
