November hearing set for drug possession case

By Deb Gau 1 min read

MARSHALL -- The case of a former Marshall resident charged with drug possession will be headed for a pre-trial hearing, Lyon County District Court records said. A future hearing date for Dante Maurice Stidman is set for Nov. 10.

Stidman has pleaded not guilty to charges of first degree drug possession and third degree drug possession. A criminal complaint alleges that a search executed at Stidman’s apartment in January found a crystal substance consistent with methamphetamine in the bathroom toilet. The complaint also alleged the water from the toilet bowl field-tested positive for meth.

Stidman appeared at a court hearing Wednesday morning. An attorney for Stidman said an agreement in the case had not been reached as of that time, court records said. A pre-trial hearing date for Stidman was scheduled for Nov. 10, with jury trial dates on Nov. 18-19.
