BALATON — Area law enforcement arrested one person, and seized drugs including methamphetamine and marijuana, in a drug bust on Monday, the Brown-Lyon-Redwood-Renville Drug Task Force said.

The BLRR Drug Task Force assisted the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office with a narcotics investigation after a traffic stop in Balaton, the BLRR said in a news release. The investigation resulted in the arrest of a 26-year-old Balaton woman. The BLRR said officers seized more than 70 grams of meth packaged for suspected sale, as well as about two grams of cocaine, over two pounds of marijuana, prescription pills, and more than $14,000 in cash.

The case was submitted to the Lyon County Attorney’s Office for consideration of first degree controlled substance charges, the BLRR said.

The BLRR said reports of suspicious activity from community members assisted in the investigation.
