SDSU announces dean’s list More than 3,000 students were recognized for their outstanding academic performance over the spring 2023 semester at South Dakota State University by being named to the dean’s list. To earn dean’s list distinctions in SDSU’s colleges, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credits and must have earned at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Students with F, I, U, RI or RU grades are not eligible regardless of system term GPA attained. A minimum of 12 credits within the 100-699 course range must be taken. Catholic Daughters award scholarships Catholic Daughters Court St. Joan of Arc #1291 of Marshall have awarded two $1,000 scholarships this year. The winners are Anna Bucher of Marshall and Chloe Louwagie of Cottonwood. Bucher’s parents are Gregory and Lisa Bucher, and her plans are to go to the University of Sioux Falls to get a bachelor of fine arts in graphic design and a minor in marketing. Louwagie’s parents are Curtis and Christie Louwagie, and her plans are to go to Iowa State University with a major in animal science and a minor in Spanish and then go to grad school for a ...

Rothschadl named to SNHU president’s list Keith Rothschadl of Cottonwood has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s winter 2023 president’s list. The winter terms run from January to May. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the president’s list. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

Boedigheimer Inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi Savannah Boedigheimer of Marshall was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Boedigheimer was initiated at University of Nebraska at Omaha. Boedigheimer is among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. John named to dean’s list Tabora John of Marshall was among approximately 800 Bob Jones University students named to the spring 2023 dean’s list. The dean’s list recognizes students who earn a 3.00-3.74 grade-point average during the semester.
