Colombe inducted into the National Art Honor Society

A Minnesota Connections Academy (MNCA) student from Lyon County was among the 28 students recently inducted into the National Art Honor Society in recognition of their outstanding scholarship in the visual arts.

During a virtual ceremony held on the online school’s LiveLesson online classroom platform, Koda Colombe, a sophomore from Marshall, was inducted into the National Art Honor Society for students in grades 9 through 12.

For more than 40 years, the National Art Honor Society programs have provided national recognition and opportunities for students who exhibit the highest qualities in art scholarship, character, and service. In exemplifying these qualities, students are making a valuable contribution to their school, community, and the future.

“At Minnesota Connections Academy we have the opportunity to work with students and families from many different backgrounds who come to us seeking an academic setting where they can thrive,” said Brad Swanson, Minnesota Connections Academy executive director. “I congratulate these students for their determination to succeed academically and appreciate their talent and passion for the visual arts.”
