To the editor:

On Friday (April 27) Derik Nelson & Family spent the day making music in Marshall. Thanks to the Marshall Area Fine Arts Council for bringing them here as the final performance of its 2017-2018 Concert Series.

MAFAC was also happy to sponsor Derik and his family to perform for nearly 900 youth Friday afternoon at the Marshall Middle School. The siblings delivered an upbeat show for all age groups which included cover numbers as well as original songs written by Derek.

Their stage production included their own video and lighting creations. The oldest sibling, Riana Nelson, commented, “we absolutely loved your community and fabulous audience! We would love to come back to Marshall!”
