RTR blanks YME to open season

TYLER — Big plays were the story of the game when Russell-Tyler-Ruthton hosted Yellow Medicine East for its season opener on Thursday. The Knights had three touchdowns of 50 yards or longer in the game, rolling to a 34-0 win over the Sting. The Knights first claimed the lead with a 56-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter, and closed out the night’s scoring with an 87-yard run in the third.
