Camden Conference CC meet results

GRANITE FALLS- Several Cross Country area teams competed in the Camden Conference meet on Tuesday afternoon. In the girls’ 5k run event, Braelyn Merritt took home first place in the event representing the Canby-Minneota cross-country team. In the boys’ 5k event, Ethan Schwankl from the Lakeview Lakers, took home first place. Here’s how each team did in the meet.

Canby-Minneota

The Canby boys and girls cross country team won 1st place overall in the conference meet. The boys had a time of 1:28:55 and a score of 41. The girls had a time of 1:42:53 and a score of 22.

For the boys, out of 52 participants in the race, all six of them would finish in the top half including three in the top five of the race. Zach Ourada finishes second with a time of 16:51. Teammate Kolton Duis finishes third with a time of 16:58 and also Blake Giese finishes fifth with a time of 17:16.

For the girls, out of the 45 participants, all seven runners would finish in the top 17 including five in the top 10. Behind Merritt was Claire Stoks with a time of 20:10 and teammate Mya Pesek would finish fourth with a time of 20:50. Jordyn Jostock finish sixth with a time of 21:06 and Nohemi Diaz finish 10th with a time of 21:20.

Canby-Minneota will run next when playoff sections begin next Thursday.

Lakeview Lakers

The Lakers boys cross country team finish third with a time of 1:37:04 and a score of 100. The Lakeview Lakers girls finish sixth with a time of 2:03:17 with a score of 130.

For the boys, the Lakers had three runners finish in the top half of the race including the overall winner Schwankl. Cole Remiger finish 15th with a time of 18:38 and teammate Mason Luepke finish 23rd with a time of 19:29. For the girls, Morgan Velde finish 21st with a time of 22:45.

RTR

The RTR boys cross country team finish fifth with a time of 1:40:23 and a score of 119. The girls finish fifth as well with a time of 2:03:36 and a score of 126.

For the boys, the Knights had three runners finish in the top half of the race including one in the top 10. Logan Roelofs finish seventh with a time of 17:49. Aidan Johnson finish 20th with a time of 19:01 and teammate Chase Christianson finish 22nd with a time of 19:25. For the girls, Autumn Labrune finishes 16th with a time of 22:06.

Yellow Medicine East

The girls’ team finish fourth with a time of 2:05:08 and a score of 123. The girls had two runners finish in the top half of the race. Sanjana Pullan finishes 13th with a time of 21:52 and teammate Anjeli Pullan finish 18th with a time of 22:20.
