BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women’s golf team closed out the Central Region Fall Preview in 12th place out of 16 teams in the tournament. They finished the tournament with a 60-over-par 636 at the Adams Pointe Golf Club.

Jacqueline Gossen led the Mustangs on Wednesday with an 8-over 80, finishing in a tie for 47th overall with a two-day total of 15-over 159. Danielle Podoll shot a 9-over 81 to finish tied for 47th with Gossen at 15-over 159.

Sally Gallagher was the highest finisher for SMSU, placing in a tie for 37th with a 13-over 157 after a 10-over 82 on day two. Lauryn Driscoll closed her tournament with a 12-over 84, bringing her total to 17-over 161 and tying her for 53rd. Courtni Frank would shoot a 13-over 85 on Wednesday, giving her a 27-over 171 for the tournament.

Southwest Minnesota State returns to action on September 17th, when they will compete at the Tipsinah Mounds Invite at Tipsinah Mounds Golf Course in Elbow Lake, Minn.
