AREA HOCKEY: Squirt B Orange defeats Fairmont, Bantam A falls to Luverne
MARSHALL — The Marshall Amateur Hockey Association Squirt B Orange and Bantam teams hosted Sunday games to close out the holiday weekend. Orange came away with a victory over Fairmont while the Bantam team fell to Luverne.
Squirt B Orange
Marshall scored three unanswered third period goals to defeat the Cardinals 5-4. In the first period, Noland Munson scored unassisted to give Marshall the lead. Carter Price connected with Alex Meinser to regain the lead, but Fairmont would tie the game 2-2 in the first before taking a 4-2 lead after two periods.
It was all Marshall in the third period with Charlie Grannes and Nehum Klemm scoring unassisted goals before Munson found Theo Schroeder with the game-winning goal. Bentley Harrington finished the win with eight saves.

Bantam A
The MAHA Bantam A team scored in the second and third periods, but were unable to overtake Luverne, falling to the Cardinals 5-2.
Tyler Welsh found Jacob Johnson in the second to put Marshall on the board. Easton Larson was assisted by Carson Kopitski and Owen Renslow on a power play goal in the third to finish the Marshall scoring. Nathan Lenz finished with 29 saves.
