MARSHALL — Southwest Minnesota State University head cross country/track and field coach Kirk Nauman announced this fall 33 student-athletes–18 women and 15 men–are continuing their academic and athletic careers at SMSU in 2021-22. Several of the student-athletes are already competing on the cross country teams this fall.

“I am happy with the group we brought in this fall. They are a part of our long-term plan for growth and success both in athletic competition and academics,” Nauman said. “This group as a whole has achieved highly both academically and athletically. I look at them as the building blocks for what we hope to achieve as we rebuild the program.”
