SMSU GOLF: Mustangs ready for Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bear Classic
MARSHALL — The Southwest Minnesota State University women’s golf team continues its fall schedule this Monday and Tuesday competing at the nine-team Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bear Classic at Keller Golf Course in Maplewood.
SMSU opens the tournament on Monday at 9:56 a.m., while on Tuesday play begins with tee times starting at 9 a.m.
SMSU is coming off a fifth-place finish at the 9-team Bemidji State Tournament this past Monday and Tuesday. The Mustangs shot scores of 345 and 340 for a total of 109-over-par 685.
Junior Sally Gallagher led SMSU with a tie for 16th place in the 57-player field with a 24-over 168 (88-80). Sophomore Jacqueline Gossen finished tied for 23rd with a 29-over 173.
Following play on Tuesday, SMSU will host the 23rd annual EverSpring Mustang Invitational at the Marshall Golf Club on Sept. 25-26.
