SMSU GOLF: Mustangs open spring season with round of 334

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – The Southwest Minnesota State women’s golf opened the 2020 spring season Monday shooting a 46-over-par 334 and is currently in fifth place at the seven-team SMSU Spring Invite at the Wigwam Resort Red course.

Hannah Kohls led the Mustangs on Monday with 3-over 75 and is currently tied for fifth in the 48-player field.

Lindenwood (Mo.) is the team leader after 18 holes with a 13-over 301 and holds a nine-shot lead over Nebraska-Kearney. Lindenwood’s McKenna Montgomery and Addasyn Zeller are tied for the individual lead with rounds of even-par 72.

SMSU’s Courtni Frank is tied for 18th overall with a 9-over 81, Natalie Bohnert and Sally Gallaher are both tied for 36th at 17-over 89, while Sydney Noel is 42nd at 22-over 94.

The final round begins today at 9:24 CDT.
