WABASSO — The Milroy Yankees showed their power and pitching prowess in a 13-1 win over Wabasso on Sunday.

The Yankees hit two home runs in the win, getting a two-run shot from Dylan Criquet-Danielson in the fourth inning and a solo homer from Braydin Kvistero in the following frame.

CJ Theis got in on the scoring with a solo home run in the eighth inning for Wabasso’s lone run of the game.

Milroy hosts Heron Lake on Tuesday, while Wabasso hosts Marshall on Wednesday.

Kollin Hanson led the Cardinals in the loss, going 2 for 4 with an RBI. Seth Boerboom, Seth Plotz and Cody St. Aubin each added doubles for Cottonwood.

Boerboom got the start and struck out seven Saints over 7 1/3 innings.

Cottonwood travels to Chokio on Friday.
