Cole Christianson pitched a complete-game, four-hit shutout for Raymond, recording 16 of 27 outs via strikeout.

Andy Schmidt was 2 for 4 to lead the Yankees, while David Schmidt and Matt Bauer each added singles.

Austin Deutz got the start on the mound for Milroy and struck out four batters over seven innings.

MILROY — The Milroy Irish picked up a 9-1 win against a tough Minneota team in non-league action on Friday.

Cody Mather got the win on the mound for the Irish, striking out 13 batters over seven innings.

Jacob Plaetz went 3 for 5 with a double and a run scored to lead the Irish offense, while Tyler Patterson and Tyler Peterson each added a pair of hits.

Jake Leighton went 2 for 5 to lead Minneota.

Minneota (12-4) hosts Chokio on Sunday while Milroy (17-2) travels to Tracy on Wednesday.

Ryan Liebl took the loss on the mound. In 5 2/3 innings of relief, he allowed nine runs on 10 hits and struck out five batters.
