PREP SPORTS ROUNDUP: Knights cruise past Lakeview with early offense, 80-45

TYLER — No. 4-ranked Russell-Tyler-Ruthton created a big early lead to roll to an 80-45 win over Lakeview on Friday.

Carter Hansen led the way for RTR with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Cooper Hansen recorded 20 points and eight rebounds in the win.

Jared Hauswedell added 14 points for the Knights.

Carter Louwagie led Lakeview with 13 points.

RTR (2-0) travels to Canby on Tuesday while Lakeview (0-1) travels to Minneota on Monday.

Against Canby, Ayden Horner, Dereck Ellingson and Sawyer Schwartz won by pin while Tyler Vandendriessche, Luis Perez, Austin Axford, Jace Paplow and Trevor Eisfeld all won by decision to lead the way for TMB/WWG. Lane Fink, Jake Wagner, Josh Steffen and Shane Noyes all earned victories for Canby.

Against St. James, Ayden Horner, Levi Ellingson and Dereck Ellingson won by major decision while Devin Carter, Vandendriessche, Austin Axford and Eisfeld all earned pins for TMB/WWG.
