SMSU SOCCER: SMSU falls to Minot State

MARSHALL – The Southwest Minnesota State women’s soccer team dropped its fifth consecutive match to Minot State on Sunday afternoon. The 2-0 shutout was Minot State’s sixth this season.

The Beavers advanced to 7-4-3 overall and 5-4-2 in the conference while SMSU drops to 3-10 overall and 3-8 in the conference.

Minot State took a 2-0 lead in the first half after Haley Berryman scored her sixth goal of the season, assisted by Jordyn Cook and Andrea Franco recorded her first goal of the season, also assisted by Jordyn Cook with 26 minutes to go in the first half.

Alli Miskowiec led the Mustangs with three shots, with one on goal. Jenna Meyer recorded all seven saves for the Mustangs in the first half.
