Austin Timm went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBI to lead Lakeview. Cody Caron added an RBI single for the Lakers.

Timm struck out two batters over five innings in the loss.

Lakeview (0-1) will look to get its first win of the season when it hosts Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove today.

MADISON – The Russell-Tyler-Ruthton baseball team fell to Lac qui Parle Valley 16-5 in five innings on Thursday.

Payton Hess led the way for the Knights with a 1 for 3 day at the plate with two RBI while Jared Baartman added three hits and an RBI as well.

Baartman took the loss on the hill for RTR, going 2.2 innings while allowing six runs on two hits and striking out two. The Knights allowed 16 total walks as a team.

RTR (1-1) will face MACCRAY and Tracy-Milroy-Balaton on Saturday in a doubleheader.
