Vote Fischbach out of office

To the editor: What has Michelle Fischbach done for the citizens of Minnesota? We know she didn’t do anything about tariffs. Beef prices are higher than they have ever been, along with almost all groceries. She didn’t do anything about health care premiums, those have gone up 200 to 300%. Car insurance and homeowners insurance have risen almost 80%. She didn’t do anything for the farmers, when China didn’t buy a single soybean over the last 10 months. She didn’t do anything when Minnesota was over run by ICE agents, beating, kicking, dragging, pepper spraying and in more than ...

Proud of Minnesota

To the editor: The eyes of the world are watching Minnesota. We have not disappointed. We love our neighbors. We risk our own safety trying to protect each other. We have become a beacon for others to follow. I could not be more proud of my home state. Thousands of armed and masked agents in camouflage have invaded Minnesota and terrorized our population. They outnumber our police forces. They hold themselves to be above the law. They accost people on the street with complexions or accents they don’t like. They break into houses without obtaining constitutionally required warrants. ...

Questions on DHS

To the editor: Thoughts to ponder regarding recent actions by Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Are you OK with apprehending people without a warrant and asking for proof of citizenship? Are you OK with entering a home without a warrant and taking people into custody? Are you OK with detaining American citizens for days without charges and then releasing them in a different location with no money or means of contacting anyone? With the only comment upon release being you are good to go. I have learned of all of these circumstances from a source I trust the Minnesota Star ...

Brutal betrayal

To the editor: As a Trump supporter I would be angry at his betrayal of America on promised better health care, cheaper groceries, an end to wars and clearing the swamp. Angry that my health care costs have skyrocketed. Angry that I can’t sustain my farm or plan any future for my business in the chaos of trade. Angry that (DOGE) recklessly chopped through programs and people without consideration and lied about the “supposed” efficiency. I would be angry that not releasing the Epstein files as ordered by Congress is protecting rich pedophiles connected to him. Angry that laws ...

Open letter from more than 60 CEOs of MN-based companies

The business community in Minnesota prides itself in providing leadership and solving problems to ensure a strong and vibrant state. The recent challenges facing our state have created widespread disruption and tragic loss of life. For the past several weeks, representatives of Minnesota’s business community have been working every day behind the scenes with federal, state and local officials to advance real solutions. These efforts have included close communication with the governor, the White House, the vice president and local mayors. There are ways for us to come together to foster ...

Riots and fraud

To the editor: That is what’s happening in Minnesota. These are not “peaceful protests.” Peaceful protesters carry signs and maybe chant, but they don’t use weapons such as rocks, bats, snow shovels, broom sticks or vehicles to block access against law enforcement officers that are carrying out their legal authorized duty. The disruption of the Sunday morning church service recently was absolutely disgusting. Then there’s the multi-billion dollar fraud scandal making Minnesota a national embarrassment and becoming known as “The Land of 10,000 frauds”. These are ...
