Farmers and landowners utilize their land to power Minnesota, but unfortunately there exists a challenge in getting the sunshine and winds to market: transmission congestion. To the editor: The Minnesota Senate passed the abortion (PRO Act) legislation with no restrictions. Gov. Tim Walz is expected to sign it. It is to be Minnesota’s new lucrative, growth industry. Persons with wombs carrying small beings are on their way to Minnesota abortion businesses. In addition to the price of an abortion, these businesses will earn more money by selling their unlimited supply of body parts. To the editor: Look at your electric bill. There is a line included that reads “Power Cost Adjustment”. That is a mechanism that permits utilities to regularly adjust the price of electricity to reflect fluctuation in the cost of fuel, or purchased power used to supply electricity. The cost to make electricity is affected by the price of coal and fuel. To the editor: In 1/18/2023, the Independent, published a 700 word OpEd from Mr. Phil Drietz, of Delhi, M. He states scientific facts about the Chicxulub crater impact in Mexico. He omits the date of the impact, 65,000,000 years ago. Dritez’s world-view is a 6000 year old earth. Dritez describes the impact’s effects.
