To the editor:

In reply to Mr. Shuckhart , the Bible verse he references is actually Genesis Chapter 6 verse 7 .

Also God created man and woman with Free Will . We choose whether to love God or to not love God .

Before the flood of Noah’s time , God saw that “The wickedness of man was great upon the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually” — Genesis 6 verse 5 — that “All flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth” Genesis 6 verse 12 .

So man chose rebellion against God . But “Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord”. Genesis 6 verse 8 .

God established a covenant with Noah . Throughout Salvation history there were 4 additional covenants : Abrahamic , Mosaic , Davidic , and the New Covenant in the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ . Jesus fulfills all the previous covenants .

Jesus said “If you love me you will keep my commandments” . The greatest commandment is “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart , with all your soul , and with all your mind” . The second commandment is like it “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” .
