Democrats abusing constitutional authority

To the editor: The Marxist Democrats are, at any cost, destroying our country. They are attacking our Constitution by “infringing” on every individual God given right guaranteed and protected by our Constitution. You don’t have to look very hard to see that. They are abusing their constitutional authority by “delegating” their legislative power to unelected administrative bureaucrats in agencies that regulate and tax (called fees and fines). In this way, many of the people we elect, who we mistakenly call “lawmakers” can deceive us into believing they have no ...

Gratitude toward YMCA and Red Cross

To the editor: Here is a huge high five, thumbs up, and hats off to all the organizations who assisted in the incident in Marshall Wednesday evening (April 17). The suspect in this incident lived on the street right across from the YMCA. Families nearby were asked to evacuate. The YMCA was designated as a “shelter-in-place” and stayed open until around midnight when it was safe for people to go home. By 6 p.m., the Red Cross had two volunteers at the YMCA, and they came with food, diapers, and teddy bears for small children. What they were able to do certainly helped make a ...

Electing senile Biden has consequences

To the editor: In the past few weeks there have been many letters to the editor extolling the virtues and virility of the current White House resident. Again, it is obviously and glaringly apparent that these folks are getting their misinformation from the left leaning press and other media carrying water for Biden. His hour-long shout out at the State of the Union address was his last gasp. If the folks who witnessed that hour of lies would watch clips of him shuffling to speaking events on NewMax or even some on Fox, they would see a senile old man who is not capable of an ...

Trump tried to steal 2020 election

To the editor: I found it deliciously ironic that on the same day a letter to the editor claiming that the 2020 presidential election was stolen was published, an Arizona grand jury indicted former President Donald Trump’s chief of staff Mark Meadows, lawyer Rudy Giuliani, and several other Republicans for attempting to overturn Trump’s Arizona loss to Joe Biden. According to the Associated Press, the indictment names “11 Republicans who submitted a document to Congress falsely declaring that Trump won Arizona in 2020. They include the former state party chair, a 2022 U.S. Senate ...

Better to research than to ridicule

To the editor: President Biden’s recent statement that his uncle, who served in World War II, was eaten by cannibals in New Guinea has caused mostly unfavorable comments. By a unusual coincidence, I have been reading 1944 Reader’s Digests which my father saved along with many other issues over the years. In two different 1944 issues, there were first person accounts of troops who of their experiences landing in New Guinea, and fearing they might encounter cannibals. One of the writers wrote of seeing a collection of human skulls displayed in one hut. In both cases the ...

Unlike Biden, Trump had nation on right path

To the editor: Honestly, are you better off now than you were just four years ago? Those that were living in another country four years ago and have entered this country illegally are, but not the legal citizens of this country. Are the illegal invaders the people Anthony Studemann is referring to in his bombastic letter of April 16? Everything he wrote that praises his “hero” Biden is the very discharge that comes out of the South end of a bull facing North. Citizens know it’s not true because we are experiencing the costs of what Biden and his administration, along with ...
