Propaganda and the presidency

To the editor:

“It is now apparent that the DNC will push its narrative over facts, regardless of the state of its candidate, whether he is healthy or not. What’s worse is the paid press that claims to be independent but repeats the company line. NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, and MS-NBC all follow suit. Both Facebook and Google follow their lead.

In 2013, the Smith-Mundt Act allowed the CIA to propagandize the US population. Apparently, many networks and internet companies lined up. How else do you explain the media covering up mental gaps, the running together of words, and other word salads?

There was no checking for earpieces or drugs in his system. No hard-hitting questions were asked. The question then becomes, what happens when his mental condition fails him?

On Feb. 8, 2024, Biden’s case for classified records was dismissed because his condition would not allow him to be tried in court. For the elderly, even one fall can indicate a health issue, and repeated falls are very concerning. Biden fell at least three times since 2021 and had to be escorted off the stage by his wife in the latest debate. Biden had at least five public word salads since 2022. My point is, these are what we know of, not the ones he must have done in private.

In the past, the press has rewritten what he said so it made sense, to cover up the errors. My issue is, if the press until now were not covering for the president, a replacement could have been done sooner. I am a Republican, but I do not like kicking a dog when it is down. At the same time, I cannot accept unknown political identities running our government, be it his party or his wife; they are not elected persons. For the last year at least, it’s been like ‘Weekends at Bernie’s’ but with the American President. The only thing dragging him out for public appearances is elder abuse.”
