Bush, on Dec. 8, 2004. To the Editor: People thought Trump’s presidency was great because of his policies, so I investigated. First, I looked at his decisions on tariffs. Trump’s decision to impose tariffs on washing machines and other products had a significant impact. The price of washing machines surged by 12%, and a 10% tariff was slapped on $200 billion of Chinese imports. In response, China immediately stopped purchasing all American agricultural goods. To the editor: Nov. 5 Election Day is two months away. However, in this modern day era of chaos, there is what is called, “early voting”. Prior to early voting, we had absentee voting, for those in the military or when other legitimate requirements prevented a person the ability to vote in person on election day. To the editor: The movie “Reagan” is currently showing at the Marshall 6 Theater. My wife and I saw it Sunday, and we both thought it was excellent. To the editor: RTR School District is at 730 Students. The school board is going to tell you there is a need to spend another $20 million because we don’t have room. Question that needs to be asked is how far out are the buses going out or willing to go out to pick up open enrolled students. The buses are going anywhere from 15-20 miles one way over our district lines to pick up open enrolled students. The school board should be looking at pickup points within the district.
