One injured in Highway 19 crash

LAKE STAY TOWNSHIP — A Minneota man was injured in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Lincoln County, the Minnesota State Patrol said. Richard Henry Kimpe, 73, was taken to the Tyler hospital with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 11:03 a.m. at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 19 and Lincoln County Road 8, the State Patrol said. Kimpe was driving a 2008 Chevy Uplander that was westbound on Highway 19. The Chevy left the roadway and crashed into a drainage ditch, the State Patrol said.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s office, and Ivanhoe Fire and Ambulance all responded at the crash scene.
