MARSHALL — A Lynd man is facing charges of illegally possessing firearms and financial transaction card fraud in Lyon County District Court. Court documents said future hearings in both criminal cases are scheduled for Caleb Michael Ose, 40. Ose is charged with two counts of possessing firearms or ammunition after being convicted or adjudicated for a crime of violence, court documents said. MARSHALL — A juvenile received minor injuries in a collision between an electric scooter and a motor vehicle on Friday, Marshall Police said. The accident was reported at 5:55 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and Minnesota Highway 23, Marshall Police said. A 2004 Subaru Crosstrek was struck by an e-scooter driven by a juvenile, Police said. The juvenile was transported to Avera Marshall Medical Center with a suspected minor injury, Police said. There was minor damage reported to the Subaru in the accident.
BALATON — Charges are being considered in connection with a one-vehicle ATV accident that injured two juvenile girls Friday afternoon, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said. Two girls, ages 14 and 13, were injured in a rollover ATV accident at 3:42 p.m., at the intersection of 170th Street and 180th Avenue in rural Balaton, the Sheriff’s Department said. The 14-year-old was driving the ATV, the Sheriff’s Office said. The Sheriff’s Office did not release the names of the two injured girls.
