Lynd Public School Board Chair Suzie Rauch has been convicted of a third-degree DWI and has been placed on supervised probation for two years, according to Lyon County court records. Rauch was charged with two gross misdemeanors and one misdemeanor on April 26 in Marshall by the Marshall Police Department. The two gross misdemeanor charges were for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and operating a motor vehicle with an alcohol concentration of 0.08 within two hours. MARSHALL — Lyon County Commissioners formally rejected price quotes for a new shower building and camper cabins at Garvin Park this week. Lyon County Environmental Administrator Roger Schroeder said the quotes came in well above an engineer’s estimate and over the amount of grant funding the county had available for the project. MARSHALL — Developers are still trying to get an affordable housing project built in Marshall. But this week, Tim Trimble of Tapestry Companies, said Tapestry would be scaling back its proposal in an effort to get help with financing the project. “Our plan originally was to build a 60-unit project. We’re now going back and scaling that down to a 42-unit,” Trimble said.
