Marshall High School Music and Theater to present ‘Annie Jr.’
As the title character of the upcoming show at Marshall High School, Janee Patterson said it’s been a fun experience playing the role.
“It’s definitely new for me,” she said. “I just started doing theater last year.”
Performances of “Annie Jr.” will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Monday, and at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Schwan Community Center for the Performing Arts at MHS.
Patterson and Dalton Edens, who plays Daddy Warbucks, said the songs were a big part of what got them interested in being part of the musical.
“The music is probably the best part of the show,” Edens said.
Director Chris Shuckhart said the cast, crew and orchestra had been working hard to make the play come together in a short amount of time.
“It’s a great show. The students were really excited when we announced it,” he said.
Shuckhart said MHS students will also perform two matinee shows for students from Southview Elementary and Marshall Middle school today.
