(Feb. 21) – During the past week a bowling team has been made up of the best bowlers in the city, of which O. H. Olson is manager, and will go to Tracy Saturday to play the team there. The team is composed of the following members: Lowe, Snap, Lanoue, Grossinger and Olson. A second team was made up of Baasen, Murray, Davis, Baldwin, and Johnston and the second team challenged the first for a match last Wednesday evening, when they were defeated by a small margin. Baldwin made the high score, 163. This was their first meet and the scores were very low. Scores of games: First game, first team 625, second team 568: second game, first team 666, second team 669, third game, first team 610, second team 626. Totals, first team 1901, second team 1863 Margin 38 pins.
The same teams are to play this afternoon at 2:30, and as they are evenly matched it will probably be another close one. The first team all have sweaters alike with the letters M. B. T. on them, representing the Marshall Bowling Team and should help them win at Tracy tomorrow. The interest in the game was shown by the large attendance, by the ladies as well as the men.
The Ladies’ Club is improving rapidly, Miss Lowe holding the high score, 139, and Miss McManimie second, score 119.
