MARSHALL — Hill Street Place rolled out the red carpet this week to celebrate the many volunteers who have supported the community over the past year.

According to Housing Manager Susie Sammons, a festive “Hill Street Place Walk of Fame” theme was held honoring individuals whose time and dedication have made a lasting impact.

Sammons said a highlight of the celebration was a special display featuring a star on the wall for each volunteer, symbolizing their contributions and commitment. The wall, lined with over 180 stars, served as a powerful visual reminder of the strong community behind Hill Street Place.

The event also recognized spirit of service among its volunteers. It honored not only those from throughout the community who give their time to Hill Street Place, but also Hill Street Place tenants who extend their volunteer efforts to serve in communities beyond its walls.

Guests were treated to an afternoon of entertainment and appreciation, including a creative “Better Than Robert Redford” cake, champagne flutes filled with popcorn, and a heartfelt poem recognizing the spirit of volunteerism.

A slideshow presentation showcased volunteers in action, along with positive feedback and reviews from tenants whose lives have been touched by their efforts.

Several standout volunteers received special recognition during the event, earning certificates and small gifts in appreciation of their exceptional service.

Starting at $3.95/week.
