MARSHALL — The ongoing construction on South Fourth Street will close down an intersection starting Monday, the city of Marshall announced.

R&G Construction will be closing the intersection of South Fourth Street and Southview Drive. South Fourth Street will also stay closed between Southview Drive and Country Club Drive.

Construction on South Fourth Street is anticipated to continue until November. Drivers should plan for alternate routes and expect some traffic delays in the areas around construction.

Currently, the contractor has stockpiled construction materials and equipment in the roadway and on the shoulders of the road between Southview Drive and Elaine Avenue, the city said. Drivers should be careful traveling along this part of South Fourth Street, because some areas are narrow and will only allow for one-way traffic at a time.
