SMSU to host Student Entrepreneurship Conference

Young entrepreneurs will be meeting at Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU) on Friday to network with one another, pitch business ideas, and get feedback from seasoned entrepreneurs. This is the second annual Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities (CEO) & Center of Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE SW) Student Entrepreneurship Conference. Fine Arts Celebration runs March 28-May 5 at SMSU

The 17th annual SMSU Fine Arts Celebration returns March 28 through May 5. SDSU announces summer,fall 2022 graduation list The following students graduated after the summer and fall 2022 semesters at South Dakota State University. Nearly 1,000 students completed all requirements for a degree and/or certificate program, and those requirements have been verified by the appropriate college. Zeug leads SMSU Forensics to 2nd place at State Tournament

The SMSU Forensics (Speech) Team traveled to Mankato for the annual Minnesota State Speech and Debate championship in late February. The students from SMSU earned 2nd place in the limited entry team sweepstakes. Jenna Zeug, a senior from Marshall, led the way, placing 4th in after dinner speaking, 4th in dramatic interpretation, and was the Minnesota State Champion in informative Speaking. SMSU Theater to present ‘The Enchanted Bookshop’

The SMSU Theater Program welcomes families to see “The Enchanted Bookshop” by Todd Wallinger. Performances are Saturday, April 1, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and Sunday, April 2, at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., in the SMSU Fine Arts Theatre. Tickets are $5 for ages 12 and under and $10 for all others. SMSU Jazz Ensemble concerts with guest artist Tom ‘Bones’ Malone

The Southwest Minnesota State University Music Program will host concerts in Worthington on March 27 and Marshall on March 28. The concerts will feature guest artist and founding member of the Blues Brothers, Tom “Bones” Malone.
