Catholic Daughters award scholarships

Catholic Daughters Court St. Joan of Arc #1291 of Marshall have awarded two $1,000 scholarships this year. The winners are Anna Bucher of Marshall and Chloe Louwagie of Cottonwood. Bucher’s parents are Gregory and Lisa Bucher, and her plans are to go to the University of Sioux Falls to get a bachelor of fine arts in graphic design and a minor in marketing. Louwagie’s parents are Curtis and Christie Louwagie, and her plans are to go to Iowa State University with a major in animal science and a minor in Spanish and then go to grad school for a degree in veterinary medicine.

Sook graduates from USF

The University of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, held its graduation ceremony on May 21, and Olivia Sook, of Marshall, graduated with honors, magna cum laude, with majors in criminal justice, psychology, sociology, and social science.
