Mustang golf places ninth in SMSU Spring Invite

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – The Southwest Minnesota State women’s golf team closed its first tournament of the 2026 spring season on Tuesday finishing ninth at the 13-team SMSU Spring Invite held at Wigwam Resort. SMSU finished the 36-hole tournament with a score of 92-over-par 668, following a round of 332 on Monday and a 336 on Tuesday. TUCSON, Ariz. — The Southwest Minnesota State University baseball team continued to roll through the weekend, extending its winning streak to seven games with four consecutive mercy-rule wins. SMSU defeated NAIA Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) 13-1 in seven innings on Saturday, took down Division III Hamline 14-1 in seven innings on Sunday and picked up a 17-0 win over Dakota Wesleyan in seven innings again on Monday.
