Katie Gordon is a junior defender for the Marshall girls soccer team. Gordon became the program’s career goals leader as a sophomore before transitioning to a more defensive role this season, in which she has still netted one goal and helped Marshall to a 3-match point streak to date

Q: Who was your favorite

athlete growing up?

A: Alex Morgan, probably

Q: When did you first start playing soccer?

A: I was three when I first started. My older sister played with the boys team and my sister Grace started our girls soccer team here. It was really fun to see this program grow and watch all three of my sisters play. Now my sister

Q: Favorite subject in school?

A: Probably math or biology

Q: How do you celebrate a big win?

A: After a good game, I love to get ice cream at DQ or Cold Stone. [My favorite flavor is] probably coffee with brownie.

Q: What’s your favorite movie or TV show?

A: Top Gun is my favorite movie. They’re both [the original and Top Gun: Maverick] really good.
