MARSHALL – The section brackets for softball were announced on Wednesday morning, with multiple area teams earning their postseason seedings.

Section 3A

In Section 3A, Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg earned the No. 1 seed in the North bracket and will face No. 8 seed Renville County West on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Murdock. Yellow Medicine East earned the No. 5 seed in the North and will face No. 4 Dawson-Boyd on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Murdock. Lac qui Parle Valley earned the No. 2 seed and will face No. 7 Lakeview on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Madison while MACCRAY earned the No. 3 seed in the North and will face No. 6 BOLD on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Madison.

In the South bracket, Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian earned the No. 1 seed and will have a bye in the first round. They will face the winner of No. 5 seed Russell-Tyler-Ruthton and No. 4 seed Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in Edgerton. RTR and RRC/WWG will play on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Edgerton.

Murray County Central earned the No. 2 seed in the South and will face No. 7 HLO/Fulda on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Slayton. Wabasso earned the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 seed Adrian on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in Slayton.

Section 3AA

In Section 3AA, Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta earned the No. 1 seed and will have a bye in the first round. They will face the winner of No. 5 seed Minnewaska Area and No. 4 seed Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in Morris. Minnewaska and ACGC will play on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Morris.

Minneota/Canby earned the No. 2 seed in the North and will face No. 7 Montevideo on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Minneota. New London-Spicer earned the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 seed Benson on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in Minneota.

In the South bracket, Pipestone earned the No. 1 seed and will face No. 8 seed Redwood Valley on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Pipestone. Jackson County Central earned the No. 4 seed and will face No. 5 Windom Area on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in Pipestone.

Luverne earned the No. 2 seed in the South and will face No. 7 Tracy-Milroy-Balaton on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Luverne. St. James earned the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 Martin County West on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in Luverne.
