Ursula Svedonik Johnson Brown

MARSHALL — Ursula Svedonik Johnson Brown was born in Bamberg Germany in 1942. She and her brother Hans were orphaned after WWII, and came to the US as foster children. They were adopted by Virgil and Junice Larson Johnson of Marshall, MN in 1949. Ursula graduated in 1961 from Marshall High School, and from U of South Dakota in 1964, and moved to Orange County, CA where she met her husband of 29 years, Bill Brown. Ursula was a wonderful dynamic teacher of foreign languages, first at Jr. HSs, and later in High Schools. She spent several years coordinating 55 Alive.

In 2018, Ursula moved to Inver Grove, MN where she reunited with relatives, notably Pam Barrows, who was her caring advocate during her final year. Mrs. Brown is survived by her brother Hans of Guam; former husband Bill; sister-in-law Susan Hays; Many Larson-Johnson cousins; and friends, notably Mike and Randee Bray of Oceanside CA, and Wally and Betty Marks of Temecula CA. Services are private.
