Fatal farm accident reported in rural Vesta

VESTA — A fatal accident was reported early Friday morning in rural Vesta. Orlean Alvin Stage, 52, died of injuries he received in the accident at a farm in rural Vesta, in Redwood County. According to the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the farm around 12:22 a.m. Friday, on a call about an unresponsive male. No other details were given about the accident. Assisting the Sheriff’s Office was the Wabasso Ambulance, Lucan First Responders, Lucan Fire Department and North Ambulance.

Huron Road closed starting Monday

MARSHALL — Construction that will temporarily close Huron Road, in the Marshall industrial park, will begin Monday, the Marshall City Engineer’s Office announced. Huron Road will be closed until further notice, and motorists should plan on taking alternate routes. The construction project will include updates to underground utilities and reconstruction of Huron Road. The project contractor R&G Construction Co., will begin work on the project Monday, the Engineer’s Office said. During construction, access to Huron Road will be limited.
