Potluck picnic is Thursday

Jesus Cares Ministry of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church of Marshall is having its annual potluck picnic from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday at the courtyard of 1005 N. 4th St. in Marshall. Individuals of all ages with developmental and intellectual disabilities in the community and surrounding areas, along with your family, friends, and staff are invited to come play summer games, sing, craft, and hear more about Jesus. Day of Prayer for Life

The 45th Annual Day of Prayer for Life will be Wednesday at St. Francis Church, 203 E Main St., Teutopolis, Illinois. All are welcome to come and pray for renewed respect for all human life. The Day of Prayer will begin with Mass at 8 a.m., followed by Eucharistic Exposition and Prayer by area churches and organizations throughout the day.
