One injured in Hwy 68 crash

LUCAN — A Marshall man was injured in a two-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning in Redwood County.

Benard Kirui, 34, was transported to Avera Marshall Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 5:37 a.m. near the intersection of Minnesota Highway 68 and Redwood County Road 10. A 2006 Pontiac Torrent driven by Kirui was eastbound on Highway 68, and a 2014 Buick Enclave driven by Amber Lynn Lundberg, 34, of Wabasso, was westbound on Highway 68 when the two vehicles collided, the State Patrol said.

Road conditions were snowy or icy at the time of the crash, the State Patrol reported.

Kirui received non life-threatening injuries in the crash, and Lundberg was uninjured, the State Patrol said. Kirui was not wearing a seat belt, the State Patrol reported.

The Lucan Fire Department and First Responders, and the Wabasso Ambulance all responded at the crash scene.
