Cottonwood woman injured in Hwy 23 crash

MARSHALL — A Cottonwood woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Minnesota Highway 23 Friday morning, the Minnesota State Patrol said. Rebecca Lynne Silvers, 25, was taken to Avera Marshall Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 11:11 a.m., at the intersection of Highway 23 and Lyon County Road 33 north of Marshall. A 2004 Pontiac driven by Silvers was traveling eastbound on County Road 33, and a 2020 Chevrolet express van driven by Ryan Michael Guillaume, 36, of Brooklyn Park, was southbound on Highway 23. The two vehicles collided in the intersection, the State Patrol said.

Guillaume was not injured, the State Patrol said.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Marshall Police and Fire Department, and North Memorial Ambulance all responded at the crash scene.
