One injured in 3-vehicle crash

GRANITE FALLS — One person was injured in a three-vehicle crash Thursday night south of Granite Falls, the Minnesota State Patrol said. Two vehicles collided in the crash, while a third vehicle struck debris.

The crash was reported at 8:32 p.m., at Minnesota Highway 23 and 240th Avenue. A 2014 Ford Focus driven by Matthew Allen Beek, 31, of Lake Wilson was southbound on Highway 23 while a 2005 Chevrolet Impala driven by Preston Eddie Yohnke, 20, of Carlos was northbound. The two vehicles collided and came to rest in the ditch, the State Patrol said. A northbound 2017 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Agg Moo Thaw, 24, of Willmar, struck debris from the crash, the State Patrol said.

Yohnke was taken to Avera Granite Falls hospital with non life-threatening injuries,the State Patrol said.

The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office, Granite Falls Police, and Granite Falls Fire and Ambulance all responded at the scene.
