Granite Falls man charged in connection with meth bust

MARSHALL — A Granite Falls man appeared in Yellow Medicine County District Court Friday after an area drug task force searched his residence. Bruce Scott Hildahl, 60, was charged with two counts of first degree drug sale and possession, and fifth degree drug possession, court records said.

A criminal complaint said the CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force executed a search warrant at Hildahl’s home in rural Granite Falls on Wednesday. The complaint alleges a task force agent had made an undercover meth purchase from Hildahl before the search was executed. Drug task force agents found more than 13 ounces of meth and more than $6,000 in cash at the residence, the complaint alleges.

At Friday’s court hearing, bail for Hildahl was set at $300,000 without conditions, or $150,000 with conditions including that he appear in court and abstain from alcohol and drugs. A future hearing date was set for Aug. 29.

A second person present at Bruce Hildahl’s home the day of the drug search was charged with fifth degree drug possession, court records said. Nathan Don Hildahl, 43, also appeared in court Friday. Bail was set at $10,000 without conditions, or release with conditions including that he appear in court and abstain from alcohol and drugs. A future hearing date was set for Aug. 24.
