Drug bust in Balaton finds meth, marijuana

BALATON — One person was arrested when law enforcement conducted a search at a Balaton residence last week. The search also found marijuana, methamphetamine and thousands of dollars in cash, a regional drug task force said.

The Brown-Lyon-Redwood-Renville Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on the 400 block of South Mound Avenue on April 8, the BLRR Task Force said. Investigators seized around 50 grams of methamphetamine, 2.5 pounds of marijuana and around $13,500 in cash.

As a result of the search warrants, one male was arrested. In a Tuesday news release, the BLRR Task Force did not identify the person who was arrested as the result of the search. The BLRR Task Force said the case was turned over to the Lyon County Attorney’s office for consideration of charges of first degree possession of narcotics with intent to sell, and possession of stolen property.
