Library to open for browsing Monday

Besides the continuing opportunity for by-request pick-up and delivery of library materials, patrons may now come into the Marshall-Lyon County Library to browse the shelves.

For everyone’s safety, time in the library will be limited to 30 minutes or less. Patrons should maintain a 6 feet distance from others during their visit, and do not enter the library if not feeling well.

Many popular collections from the Children’s Department, including new books, readers, popular series, and all media will be available outside the Children’s Department. The Children’s Department will be closed to casual use, but individuals and those sharing the same household can sign up for 20-minute appointments to browse the Children’s Department

The Community Room will be open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday for newspaper reading and inside wifi use. Wifi is also available 24/7 in the library parking lot.

Summer Reading this year will be for all ages and will feature an online program called Beanstack, available as an app or on your computer. Sign up today. Virtual programs will take place throughout the summer.

Public computers are not available as yet.

For the latest information on hours, the Summer Reading Program, and virtual programming, check out the Library website: marshalllyonlibrary.org and follow us on Facebook. Requests for pick up materials and home delivery can be made by calling 507-537-7003 or email library@marshalllyonlibrary.org
